My Services
What do I do?
No baby, or mother, or family is the same. They are all unique and so is the service I provide. A free initial meeting is carried out to pinpoint exactly what is needed from me and I tailor my services, and an appropriate cost package accordingly.
Doula
Whilst I don’t currently attend births, I can help with birth preparations antenatally as well as anything that is required postnatally. I know from personal experience how much continuity of care can improve this time for a mother so I make it my mission to be a mother’s greatest advocate and cheerleader to find her own strength.
Some examples of the type of support I provide are::
Helping to put together a birth plan of your preferences, equipping you with all you need to make informed decisions
Assistance in communications with healthcare professionals
A listening ear about any concerns you might have about pregnancy or life with a newborn
Birth debrief
Support in caring for your baby in the fourth trimester
Night nannying
Cook
Having trained at ‘Tante Marie Culinary Acadamy’ and then working as a private chef, catering everything from canape parties for hundreds of people, to lunches for large-scale offices to nutritious, simple family meals, I have gained a great deal of experience in the kitchen.
More importantly than that, I consider food to be my love language. Recipe finding, menu planning, and cooking for people is my passion and the greatest way I know to show them I care.
When working with families, I take the time to learn what their dietary requirements and preferences are, enabling me to provide them with meals that nourish them from the inside and hopefully remove one thing from their to-do list.
I can provide meals and snacks, filling your fridge and freezer for everyone in your family from a weaning baby to mum, dad, and visitors!
Nanny
For 8 years I have worked as a private Nanny and OFSTED registered childminder, taking sole care of children from newborn to 10 years.
I have tried to support children’s emotional well-being as well as nurture their minds and bodies with stimulating yet fun activities, led by the children’s own interests and stage of development. I always try to be a calm and comforting presence for children whilst their parents can’t be there and love nothing more than taking children out and about, exploring new places together.
Sometimes to be the best possible parents, we have to take some time apart from our children to focus on our own needs. I will give a mother space by taking her newborn for a walk to give her time to have a bath or take a toddler to the park to run off some steam, or simply be here to call on when the juggle of parenting becomes too great.
